He was arrested because he wanted to be. If he had stood aside and allowed his tent to be searched prior the the queen and countless other VIP’s driving by he would have been allowed to continue his “protest”.
By the way, can any of his supporters actually tell me what he is protesting about? He jumps from one topical issue to the next with such speed it is difficult to keep up.

Interesting how parts are cut out of the video, just before the police show him being carried out. Presume he became aggresive but that doesn’t support the “peace lovers” line so it was cut out.
Looks like the police were extremely reasonable; explaining patiently what would happen and all he would do is shout and film them provocatively.

@yossariancomplex To be exact: Preventing the police from going about their lawful business is against the law (obstructing the police). Specifically, it appeared that he was trying to prevent them from searching the tents.
He was just being unreasonable and awkward for the cameras. I can imagine he is one of those people who would refuse to go through the metal detector before getting on a plane just to make somekind of point whilst holding up a long line of other people.

Brian has gone totaly mad now, his protest keeps changeing, he shoves that camera in peoples faces and shouts at them (demonstrated very well here).
They were all warned that their tents would be searched about a week before (leafleted) because of the state opening. That isnt protest thats just dossing and being a public nuisance.
