Can I substitute chocolate baking chips for baking chocolate squares?

I have a recipe that calls for 6 ounces of unsweetened baking chocolate squares and 2 oz of semi-sweet baking chocolate squares. Can I substitute the 2 ounces of semi sweet baking chocolate for 2 oz of semi-sweet chocolate chips? The recipe involves a molten lava cake and I don’t know if this would change the outcome of the recipe. Thanks!

    Yup, I see it all the time on cooking shows. I don’t know if you do but you should watch cooking shows to get good ideas or either look up the recipes online. It won’t mess up the recipe.
