Enjoy another bumpy video! ![]()
This time it’s me walking down the terribly steep staircase at Russel Square Station in Camden.
I think I did the voiceover for this one about a month ago, but my computer was being a bitch, hence I couldn’t finish my London Video Diary (I would’ve done the voiceover differently now, perhaps read it off a script, but I like it better the way it is now XD). There’s still a few things missing.
[The "Pay As You Go" thing I mentioned in the video: If you've seen Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix you most certainly saw Harry and Mr. weasly using the Underground on their way to the Ministry of Magic, right? So, where Harry is using a regular ticket at the entrance to the station, when you have an Oyster Card you simply have to swap the card over that yellow card-reading thing and that's it, the same procedure is due when you leave the station, the costs are calculated by how many stations you travelled when getting out at your destination. The TravelCard has to be inserted, like Harry does with his regular ticket - I wouldn't recommend the TravelCard though, it's a lot more expensive than the Oyster Card, even with the 3 Pound safety deposit you have to pay for the Oyster Card (and you get that money back when you return the card), and even when travelling at peak times
