    @xKingPola3ux you …
@xKingPola3ux you can’t, unless its a perfect square root (doesn’t end in decimals). For example, if its the square root of 49, the answer is 7. BUT, if you looking for the square root of 98, the answer is 49squareroot2. Thats what your looking for, unless your instructor lets you use a calculator, but its impossible to calculate the square root of 2 without one.

    She’s alright. i …
She’s alright. i would love it if all math teachers were simple and robotic, and had a fake meaningless smile like the one she presents on the last 3 seconds. But i think math goes out of its way too much.

I want to blow that brains all over the white board… Now wouldn’t that be a sight… MATH!

  21. 7glitch says:

    yea they dont go …
yea they dont go into detail enough for me. they explain the easy parts and just automaticly think i understand how they did all the other shit. they need to go into more detail.

  22. sausagedogheaven says:

    No, not for the …
No, not for the kids to study anything in 50 words. I want 50 words that explain why this video, the quadratic equations or any of these videos (which are fine in themselves, nothing against the teachers here) mean something to school kids.

If a teacher can’t explain it simply and succinctly then they lose many of the students.

    There is always a way.

  23. sausagedogheaven says:

    it’s not the math, …
it’s not the math, it’s the teachers, they can’t make it useful, interesting or meaningful.

  24. JanPB says:

    A quick answer at …
A quick answer at that level does not exist. All you can do is show simple applications, preferably geometric (e.g. how long the side of a square room must be for the room to cover certain area – e.g. in the context of fitting a piece of furniture in a new house etc.) Beyond that the kids would have to study a given application domain in sufficient detail to appreciate the reason for square roots in there. And there is simply no way to study, say, general relativity in “50 words”.

  25. sausagedogheaven says:

    I only asked for 50 …
I only asked for 50 words, kids want answers, not lectures.

I had the joy of studying statistics at university and the fun of standard deviations. Our final lecture was how statistics of the last 50 years need to be overhauled. It was crushing to learn that experiments in many disciplines have relied on weak procedures that may have led to meaningless/false results.

You still haven’t explained what every kid wants to know.

You keep pointing in directions but haven’t explained WHY.

    Fail.
