    99^2=9801
    99+9=108 …

    99^2=9801
    99+9=108 (*9=972) (add 0, so it’s =9720)
    9*9=81
    9720+81=9801
    9801=99^2

    999^2
    999+9=1008 (*99=99792) (0 on end, =997920)
    9*9=81
    997920+81=998001
    998001=999^2

  2. Alex92kronus says:

    34^2=1156
    34+4=38 …

    34^2=1156
    34+4=38 (because of 3 on the 34, it times by 3, so it’s =114)
    4*4=16
    1140+16=1156
    damn works

ummm I dont think there is such a thing… when you do a number to the power of something, it means the number is multiplying itself a certain amount of times. eg, 10^3 means: 10 times 10, 3 times.
so 10^0 means: 10 times 10, no times at all, which basically is 10 x 0…

    technically, this …
technically, this isnt a good method. you’re just doing the math out in a different way. its like saying 12×10=120
    + 12×2=24 which is 120+24 which is 144.
    still cool tho, 4.5stars

  10. Zowayixx says:

    You didn’t do it …
You didn’t do it right. You subtract 10 from the number, and do the rest of the math. So it would be 20+10 and 10×10, which would yield 30 and 100, and 3+1=4, and it has two more digits, giving 400, which is 20×20.

  11. tony5r000 says:

    um…i dont think …
um…i dont think it works when the number ends with 0
20 x 20=20+0+0×0, that way the answer is 20, but the answer its suppose to be 400?

Thanks Buggy 793. Your explanation has answered a 35 year old mystery to me. I only ever achieved a bare pass in maths, but I always enjoyed it. People like you should be praised for bringing the whole subject to life. My heartfelt thanks.

I hope you know about the properties of exponents! :D

When a number(x) with an exponent(a) is put over the same number(x) with an exponent(b) The answer is x with an exponent of a-b. (x^a-b)

Now if a number has an exponent of ‘a’ over the same number of ‘a’, when divided, it would be the number with an exponent of zero. Since it is a number over the same number, it is equal to one.
    (x^a-a)
Ask if you need further explanation. :D

    It works for …
It works for numbers higher than 19 but you have to add a step.
    42+2=44
Now multiply that by the face value of the 10s place, =176.
Now add 2*2 onto the end and you get 1764.

  19. arkelanfall says:

    This method isn’t …
This method isn’t limited to calculating squares. You can use it for any product whose factors are 2-digit numbers starting with 1.
    Example:
    13+7 = 20
    3*7 = 21
    so 13*17 = 221.

    (Although in this case, it would probably have been easier to see that 13 = 15-2 and 17 = 15+2, thus 13*17 = 15^2-2^2 = 225-4 = 221)

This is what theyre hiding with the chemtrails sprayed every day globally. Its the reason for the increase in quakes and volcanoes and for the doomsday seed vault.

It is also the warning for the war of Armageddon which will see America destroyed by Russia, China and the SCO on the day of the next us/israeli false flag to invade Iran.
