The Language of Science 6/6 (Science and Islam – Episode 1 of 3)

(Episode 1)
Physicist Jim Al-Khalili travels through Syria, Iran, Tunisia and Spain to tell the story of the great leap in scientific knowledge that took place in the Islamic world between the 8th and 14th centuries.
Its legacy is tangible, with terms like algebra, algorithm and alkali all being Arabic in origin and at the very heart of modern science – there would be no modern mathematics or physics without algebra, no computers without algorithms and no chemistry without alkalis.
For Baghdad-born Al-Khalili this is also a personal journey and on his travels he uncovers a diverse and outward-looking culture, fascinated by learning and obsessed with science. From the great mathematician Al-Khwarizmi, who did much to establish the mathematical tradition we now know as algebra, to Ibn Sina, a pioneer of early medicine whose Canon of Medicine was still in use as recently as the 19th century, he pieces together a remarkable story of the often-overlooked achievements of the early medieval Islamic scientists.

    Dr. Aris Poulianos …
Dr. Aris Poulianos at Moscow University, known by his thesis: The origin of the Greeks (first edition 1960), which was based on craniological and anthropometrical studies of modern Greek populations from Crimea to South Italy. With these studies, Aris Poulianos demonstrated that the Greek people are autochthonous, and that their roots are common to those of the ancient Greeks. Not out of Africa !..Greeks were born in the land of Greece, since the dawn of time!

  3. nixter888 says:

    From the Greek side …
From the Greek side the names of G. Maniatis of Demokritos (nuclear laboratory), G. Lyrintzis of the Athens Academy, S. Papamarinoppoulos of Patra University and C. Papastefanou of Thessaloniki University, should be mentioned.

  4. nixter888 says:

    evidence which is …
evidence which is based on the studies of what is perhaps the biggest international scientific group ever formed for such a scientific topic (46 specialists, from 12 countries). The Ph.D. Professors B. Kourten (Finland), M. Kretzoi (Hungary), M. Ikeya (Japan), I. Horacek (Czech Republic), G. Belluomini (Italy), A. Moigne (France), R. Murrill (U.S.A.), are among the most sonorous names of the associates chosen by the Anthropological Company for staffing the research.

  5. nixter888 says:

    what i am telling …
what i am telling you is also it is scientific proof ,coming from great scientists…all over the world!

  6. sunez7 says:

    The theory you …
The theory you propose is racist. Look at its history with Louis Agassiz and Samuel George Morton. As I countered, the Greek pyramids only have some new, inconclusive and very refutable evidence of their being as old as the Egyptian pyramids. My understanding on all humanity from the Black man is not racist, it is scientific with many proofs I offered from Black, Brown, Yellow and white sources.
    Peace, Sunez

  7. nixter888 says:

    You are wrong!!,, …
You are wrong!!,,PYRAMIDS in Greece even though they are smaller, they are way more ancient!

  8. nixter888 says:

    IT’S A RACIST …
IT’S A RACIST THEORY?…AND YOU ARE NOT A RACIST , TELLING US THAT PEOPLE CAME ONLY FROM BLACKS?You mast be out of your mind!

  9. sunez7 says:

    Taygetus is not …
Taygetus is not even accepted as a pyramid and there is no documentation of its existence in ancient times. The margin of error for the OT testing is about 500 to 700 years plus the Hellenikon pyramid was “constructed on a previously existing structure” putting the interpretation of the testing in question.

The polygenesis idea is a racist theory and the seven foci hasn’t been shown and proven. It also doesn’t disprove that the Black, Brown and Yellow are most dominant over the white.

  10. nixter888 says:

    IF THIS IS FINALLY …
IF THIS IS FINALLY SO..then the pyramid of Taygetus in indeed the oldest in the world!

  11. nixter888 says:

    The mountain …
The mountain Taygetos has five peaks and its other name is ‘;Pendadaktilos’ (five-fingered). The highest peak of the mountain has the shape of a pyramid. Some researchers are convinced that this structure, found on one of the peaks of mount Taygetus, was carved by the hand of man, in remote
antiquity, to form this pyramid shape. No erosion mechanism has been suggested (to date) which could create this shape naturally. Particularly curious are the strange shadows that cast at dawn and sunset.

  12. nixter888 says:

    The method of …
The method of Optical Thermoluminescence was employed to date samples taken from the pyramid. It was determined that the pyramid was erected at about 2720 B.C.

It must be noted that must be noted that, according to these results, the Hellenikon pyramid predates, by at least 100 years, the oldest Egyptian pyramid Djoser – 2620 B.C. and by 170 years the Great Pyramid of Cheops Khufu – 2550 B.C. .

  13. nixter888 says:

    The Academy of …
The Academy of Athens has published results of dating the Hellenikon pyramid ( 9-2-1995). Dating measurements were performed by the Laboratory of Archaeometry at Dimokritos Resarch Institute in Athens and by the Nuclear Dating Laboratory of the department of Physics at the University of Edinbourgh in Scotland.

  14. nixter888 says:

    There are more than …
There are more than 16 pyramids spread over Greece. The oldest one is the Pyramid of Hellinikon. At the South-eastern edge of the plain of Argolid, near the springs of the Erasinos river (nowadays ‘Kephalari’) and on the main arterial road which in antiquity lead from Argos to Tegea and the rest of Arcadia and Kynouria, there is a small structure at present known as the Pyramid of Hellenikon.

  15. nixter888 says:

    Poly genesis …
Poly genesis happened!!!…Blacks and whites are two different humans of different lineages, The human race is distinctly polygenetic inasmuch as it was born from seven different psychomaterial foci on seven different centers of the earth; and mankind did not spring from an actual single couple.

  16. nixter888 says:

    According to legend …
According to legend Hermes Trismegistus is said to have provided the wisdom of light in the ancient mysteries of Egypt. “He carried an emerald, upon which was recorded all of philosophy, and the caduceus, the symbol of mystical illumination. Hermes Trismegistus vanquished Typhon, the dragon of ignorance, and mental, moral and physical perversion.”

  17. nixter888 says:

    GREEK CIVILIZATION …
GREEK CIVILIZATION BEGAN WHEN? Early Helladic EH 7800-2100 BCE
    Middle Helladic MH 2100-1500 BCE
    Late Helladic LH 1500-1100 BCE
    Early Minoan EM 7650-2160 BCE
    Middle Minoan MM 2160-1600 BCE
    Late Minoan LM 1600-1170 BCE
    * Early Cycladic 7300-2000 BCE
    * Kastri = EH II-EH III (ca. 2500-2100) BCE
    * Convergence with MM from ca. 2000 BCE

  18. nixter888 says:

    Give me the names …
Give me the names of the works, and the authors they study!!!…Can you do that?…I don’t think there are any!!!
    DISTORTION IS A CRIME!

  19. sunez7 says:

    Now this is a …
Now this is a different claim. You seemed to be saying that Egypt was after Greece and I disagreed with my offered proofs. If now you are also saying that humanity began in Greece and with the possible assumption that the Black man and woman are not the Original people I’d have to disagree again.

  20. nixter888 says:

    UNDERWATER cities , …
UNDERWATER cities ,found in Greece, more than 12000 years old!!!..I WOULDN’T TALK IF I WAS YOU!

  21. nixter888 says:

    iN Petralona Cave …
iN Petralona Cave was accidentally discovered in 1959 by local villagers searching for a spring in the mountainside. The Petralona skull, specifically, was discovered in 1960 when it was removed from a rock in the cave.Poulianos would ultimately study the remains, name the hominid Archanthropus europeaus petraloniensis, and estimate its age to be -700-800,000 years old.]

  22. nixter888 says:

    Homo Sapiens some …
Homo Sapiens some 40,000 B.C., He is the first real ancestor of both Greeks and Europeans in general. Homo Sapiens was indigenous to the country.
In September of 1995, Poulianos presented a calcified tibia found in Triglia, Chalkidiki, which he belonged to a Homo erectus form he termed Homo erectus trilliensis, and which he dated to 11 million years before the present. Poulianos believes that his discovery may challenge the Out of Africa theory regarding human evolution

  23. sunez7 says:

    Herodotus in 500 …
Herodotus in 500 B.C. said, “Now, let me talk more of Egypt for it has a lot of admirable things and what one sees there is superior to any other country.”
As Molefi Asante notes, “if the pyramids were built in 2800 B.C. and Greek civilization began around 700 B.C., how could the Greeks have contributed or taught Africans math and science? And if the Greeks built pyramids in Egypt, why did they not build a few in Greece?”
    Peace, Sunez

  24. nixter888 says:

    But the most …
But the most significant find was made in 1960. A group of visitors on September 16 of that year explored the cave of Kokkines Petres situated near the village of Petralona in the Chalcidice and accidentally stumbled upon a skull covered with a layer of calcareous deposit which once removed proved to be that of a woman rather advanced in age for the time, 25 years old, of the type known as the HOMO-SAPIENT She must have lived in what is now Greece some time between 70,000 and 60,000 years B.C.

  25. sunez7 says:

    Diodorus of Sicily, …
    Diodorus of Sicily, Book I, [96, 1-2]:

But now that we have examined these matters, we must enumerate what Greeks, who have won fame for their wisdom and learning, visited Egypt in ancient times, in order to become acquainted with its customs and learning. . . .
. . .Homer and Lycurgus of Sparta, and Plato, and that there also came Pythagoras of Samos and the mathematician Eudoxus [The famous astronomer, geographer, and mathematician of Cnidus, pupil of Plato.]. . .
