How many square feet are there in 10,000 square inches?

The answer is 69.4444ft^2 but how did they get this?
Show your work please, I really like to know how they get this answer.

1 sq ft = 12 x 12 inches, so 144 sq.in.
10,000/144 = 69.4444sq.ft.

  1. RebelAir says:

10,000 sq in = a square 100 inches on each side.
    100 inches = 8.333 ft
    8.333 * 8.333 = 69.44444 sq ft

    or

    10000 / 12^2 =
    10000/144 = 69.444
