Baileigh Cold Saws, Manual and Semi Automatic Cold Cut saw,

Baileighs line of miter cold saws consists of a manual cold saw, semi automatic and automatic cold saws for all small to high production requirements. The Baileigh Brand stands for excellent quality and support at a competitive price. All of our circular cold saws are built to the highest quality standards on the market today. Using this type of machine can cut tubing and pipe virtually burr free with a machined like finish at a tolerance of .0005″. Each coldsaw we offer will be in your production or fabrication shop offering decades of service. Please read on as we summarize our quality line of metal cutting saws.

The line up of manual and semi-automatic coolant lubricated metal cutoff saws consists of an 11″ and 14″ saw. Each machine has a heavy cast iron base frame with way support system and a cast sawing head that is mounted on a sturdy steel cabinet. The cabinet houses the electrical system, coolant system and has several storage compartments for housing cold saw blades and changeover tooling. A nice sturdy meter long material stop is included and lists inches and metric increments. The coolant sytem uses an industrial grade pump to properly wash away cut chips from the cold saw blade and the material being cut. The coolant system, using a synthetic 10 to 1 mixture extends blade life. Each metal cutting saw offers two cutting speeds to allow for the proper speeds for aluminum, stainless steel and mild steel. The head can swivel or miter up to 60 degrees in one direction and up to 90 degrees in the other direction allowing for 150 degree total swing. The vise is self centering so that the material always starts in the proper position on the blade regardless of the outside diameter of the material being cut. The vise uses a dual clamping system so the cut piece and stock bar or tube are both being held securely throughout the cutting process, which increases blade life. The vise jaws have a diamond groove that allows the cut on square tubing to begin on the pointed edge that increase blade life and speed of cut. A Baileigh metal cutting circular saw is heavily built with a very powerful AC motor coupled to an industrial grade gear box ready to provide decades of consistent sawing.

How to estimate (quote) a residential yard for a lawn care service business.

http://www.StartALawnCareBusiness.com

Today I will show you how to give a price estimate on a residential lawn.

Estimating a yard is easy. First we measure the dimensions. This estimate also includes weedeating. So, I will measure the perimeter of the property to tell me how much weeding I will have to do.

Something else to keep in mind when you are estimating are obstacles in the yard. This family has a trampoline. Every single time we come out here, we are going to have to move that trampoline. That is going to add 5 minutes to your estimated time. So, be sure to include it in your calculations.

Also, this family has a dog. As you and I both know, dogs leave messes in the yard. Account for that, too, with the difficulty index.

Figuring a price quote is easy with the StartALawnCareBusiness.com estimating calculator.

First you enter your hourly rate. Many lawn care companies use $50 per hour as a base rate. Your rate may be higher or lower depending on your part of the country.

With a 48″ commercial walkbehind lawn mower, I can mow at about 1200 square feet per minute. That number is generated with the productivity calculator available from StartALawnCareBusiness.com.

The job size for the lawn in the video is 9640 square feet.

The difficulty modifier is 55 because the family owns a dog.

Already, the estimating calculator has told us that it will take about 8 minutes of mowing time.

There are other things to consider.

Trimming minutes: I measured the perimeter to see how many feet I will have to trim. There are 311 feet to trim on this property. I can trim at about a foot per second when I am moving fast. That translates to just over 5 minutes. I am going to round it up to 6 minutes.

Blowing off the driveway and sidewalk will take about 5 minutes.

Travel time has to be included in your schedule. This property is 10 minutes round-trip.

As we see in the video, there are often other things to consider such as moving the trampoline. I will add 10 minutes per week for these other activities.

The lawn care estimating calculator tells us the total time for this job is 39 minutes. At $50/hour plus the difficulty index, that gives a price quote of $35.00.

Estimating residential jobs is easy once you know how to work the numbers.

Betty’s No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookie Squares Recipe

In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookie Squares. This was a special request from her son-in-law, Chris, who preferred these cookies to the traditional birthday cake for his birthday celebration! They are dark chocolate flavor, and contain peanut butter and oatmeal, making them more nutritious than the average cookie.

Ingredients:

½ cup milk
¼ cup butter or margarine, melted
½ cup cocoa
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup smooth or chunky peanut butter
2 ½ cups quick-cooking oats

Place ½ cup milk, ¼ cup melted butter or margarine, ½ cup cocoa, and 2 cups sugar into a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, ½ cup peanut butter, and 2 ½ cups quick-cooking oats. You may finish these cookies up in a couple of ways. 1) Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper, and let set up for about ½ hour or 2) Pour mixture into a large (13-inch by 9-inch by 2-inch) greased pan and cool, then cut into equally-sized squares. This is a traditional cookie recipe in my part of the country. These cookies are great as snacks for children, and are great as lunchbox items, but big kids like them, too!
