Can it be true? the UK is allowing Sharia law court decisions?

WOW! stoning in town square, will they be on the telee?
Wow, the UK is retuning to 1250A.D. will there be fire breathing dragons?
I guess this is one way not to make bin bin angry.

Sharia law is only being recognized in civil cases and only when both parties agree to it beforehand. It’s no different from arbitration boards.

Stoning will not be allowed and both parties (plaintiff and defendant)have to agree to use those laws before it can be used
    mainly civil matters

Even with those facts I still would not want any of those crappy laws where I live…..

ISLAMIC law has been officially adopted in Britain, with sharia courts given powers to rule on Muslim civil cases.

The government has quietly sanctioned the powers for sharia judges to rule on cases ranging from divorce and financial disputes to those involving domestic violence. Rulings issued by a network of five sharia courts are enforceable with the full power of the judicial system, through the county courts or High Court.

Yes it has, a step backwards in time.

Who defends the women’s rights? Some are forced to marry so I imagine many will be forced to go to these religious courts.

It goes against liberalism & equality.

James – both parties agree? I suspect you do not know the culture – see 2nd link!

That why there should be one law for all.

    Edit – 600′s not 1250′s!!
