How can you prove algebraically that the sum of 2 consecutive triangle numbers is a square number?
Triangle numbers have formula n(n + 1)/2 Therefore sum of two consecutive triangle numbers = n(n + 1)/2 + (n + 1)(n + 2)/2 I’ll leave you to show that is a perfect square.
