How many times do you have to square the number 2 before reaching a power of 10?

When will the next number in this sequence be a power of 10. (10, 100, 1000, 10,000, 100,000, etc)

If you can reach this number, what significance does it have?

This is impossible. No power of two can ever even be divisible by ten, since no power of two is divisible by five.
Oh and one thing you may wish to observe: the last digit of powers of two will continue to follow the pattern: 2, 4, 8, 6, 2, 4, 8, 6…

Moscow’s Red Square has been overrun by motorbikes, as part of a freestyle Red Bull X-Fighters motocross competition taking place right next to the walls of the Kremlin.

This was the first time an international event of this sort happened in Russia — no wonder the spectacular event left onlookers open-mouthed: audacious riders threw somersaults as high as 10 meters up in the air, and somehow managed to stay on.

Under the simple rules, each player gets just 90 seconds, after which he is given a certain number of points: the harder the trick, the better the result.

18-year-old New Zealander Levi Sherwood won the race. Veteran and 2009 X-Fighters title holder Nate Adams finished second, while round one winner Andre Villa rounded out the top three.

How do you graph the square root of a number on a number line without using a calculator? Are there any special tricks or shortcuts you learned?

I assume you mean one that is not rational, such as √2. In such a case, you make a reasonable estimate of it’s position, and then label the point that you plot.
For example, you know that √2 is greater than 1 and less than 2, so put the point at about 1½ (actual value is about 1.4142).
For √3, you know the answer is still less than 4, but greater than √2. If both of those points are required to be plotted just make sure you put it in proper relation, otherwise about 1¾ is plenty good (actual value is about 1.7321).
If you are going to get into larger numbers, it’s not a bad idea to just learn a few roots. Certainly 2, 3, and 5 (2.2361) and 10 (3.1623) shouldn’t be too hard.
Then for a number like 20, which you can quickly workout is √4•√5 or 2√5, you could easily guess about 4½ (4.4721).
They’re usually not really interested in your graphing skills on this sort of exercise. They just want you to demonstrate that you have a grasp of the magnitude of irrational numbers.

The Aura minus 2 of their comrades, decided to drop bombs (drumming lingo folks) on Times Square one fine evening but were stopped by cops left, right & centre, so returned 2 days later in the daytime with some “papers” and backing from their friends in high places and proceeded to wreck The Square.

The gods decided to do a number on the Wicked ones by lettin’ the rain pour like a mofo after just 2 songs (this being 1 of them) in the New York sun. But our resilient noiseniks needed a good ol’ shower anyways, and so went on to play in the summer rain for some very amused AND very wet folks. Americans and tourists alike.

The Wickedboys packed good amounts of benjamins in their hat, sold their album Louder Than Light by the dozens, and went back to bed fitter, happier, more productive.

what are the two square numbers?

x² – y² = 21
(x + y)(x – y) = 21

There are two factor pairs of 21: 1·21 and 3·7
x ± y = 1, 21
or
x ± y = 3, 7

x – y = 1
x + y = 21
x = 11, y = 10
x² = 121, y² = 100

x – y = 3
x + y = 21
x = 12, y = 9
x² = 144, y² = 81
But 144 – 81 = 63 ≠ 21, eliminate this pair.

The two square numbers are 121 and 100

The Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, also known as the Tiananmen Square Massacre, June 4th Incident, or the Political Turmoil between Spring and Summer of 1989 by the Chinese government, were a series of demonstrations led by students, intellectuals and labour activists in the People’s Republic of China between April 15, 1989 and June 4, 1989, leaving (according to Chinese authorities) between 400 and 800 civilians dead, and between 7,000 and 10,000 injured. An initial report from local hospitals put the number at around 2,000 dead.
